At Operation Blessing, we know that giving back is important to companies and corporations—that every opportunity to help make a positive impact in the life of a child, a family and a community is an opportunity worth taking. And we want to help make that possible. Whether your company is donating medicine, food or volunteer time, we’re committed to making sure your corporate gift-in-kind donations go straight to those in need, here in the United States and around the world.
How are my food donations processed?
Operation Blessing’s Hunger Strike Force (HSF) fleet of tractor trailers picks up and delivers truckloads of donated food and relief product across America. Upon request, our transportation management team can provide drop trailers at manufacturer’s facilities. After OBI picks up your corporate donation, it is then transported, at no cost to the corporate donor, to one of our strategically located distribution centers, where product is sorted for continued dispatch to our national network of relief agencies and food pantries. Corporate donations are then placed in the hands of those in need. The entire process of donation pick-up and distribution is covered by procedures that ensure the security of all corporate donations. To set up your donation, please call 1-800-436-6348 to speak with a procurement manager.
Can I volunteer my time?
Yes, Operation Blessing provides community events where company employees can log service hours toward the fulfillment of their corporate social responsibility goals. Each year, Operation Blessing works with selected NFL teams to maximize their community impact through food distribution events that reach thousands of local residents in need. Operation Blessing is also able to provide opportunities for corporate volunteers to join its domestic disaster relief teams in clean-up and recovery activities following hurricanes, tornadoes, and other major U.S. disasters.
How do pharmaceutical donations help?
Throughout Latin America and Africa, Operation Blessing provides donations of medicine received from partnering pharmaceutical companies. We work with more than 400 in-country health and community organizations and also provide access to free medicine through mobile clinics, hospitals, health centers and more. Thanks to these generous donations, patients are granted access to critically-needed medicine and care that they could not otherwise afford. If your company would like to make a medical donation, please contact a procurement manager at 1-800-436-6348.
