OBI Latin America
Jordan Durso has recently joined Operation Blessing International as their regional director for Latin America in April 2007. He oversees all of the national directors in Latin America.
Originally from NYC, he has lived in Lima, Peru, for the past seven years conducting hundreds of medical campaigns and offering humanitarian relief in both Peru and internationally through his own non-profit organization JV Ministries. For the past seven years the group has conducted surgical campaigns for cleft lip and palate surgeries, given out free wheelchairs, ran small medical posts and sent out teams to visit poverty-stricken neighborhoods.
Jordan first worked with OBI to supply anti-parasite medication to 2 million people in one day, with the help of 2,000 churches as the distribution points. As part of these medical distributions, recipients are educated on the basics of parasite prevention and good nutrition. Distributions are scheduled every six months and Durso is working with OBI to expand the program throughout all of Latin America
Medical and community development projects as well as traveling are Jordan’s passions. He lives with his wife, Vaness, and their three daughters.
