Deputy Director of International Marketing and Fundraising
Driven by a passion to serve the poor worldwide, Leo Ferreira currently serves as Deputy Director of International Marketing and Fundraising for Operation Blessing. Leo’s chief responsibilities include coordinating OBI’s international marketing efforts; raising in-country funds and strategizing other international sources of funds; and working closely with OBI’s international offices and regional partners to expand OBI’s humanitarian programs across the globe.
Leo is also National Director for OB Brazil, where he helps lead a variety of relief efforts such as emergency aid for flood victims, clean water and microenterprise projects, and orphan’s care.
Prior to joining OBI in 2008, Leo worked as a private banker in Brazil, then left the banking industry to co-found iLumina Brasil, a Bible software company based out of Sao Paulo. Leo acted as CEO for iLumina Brasil, heading up product development, marketing, production and sales. His drive and commitment lead to iLumina Brasil becoming the best-selling Bible software in Latin America. Leo also consults for a digital marketing agency and sits on several non-profit boards in Brazil.
Leo earned his high-school diploma at Institut Le Rosey in Switzerland. He earned his undergraduate degree in Management at Bentley College in Boston, Mass., and completed his graduate studies in Non-Profit Management at Regent University in Virginia Beach, Va. Leo lives with his wife Rebeca in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
