When disaster strikes, providing victims with access to clean drinking water becomes critical. Late
last year, Operation Blessing partnered with Water Missions International to purchase water purification
systems for flood victims in Mexico and typhoon-devastated communities in Bangladesh. DHL flew the
systems in pro bono and OBI trained local church volunteers how to operate and maintain the 1,600-pound systems, with each one purifying up to 10,000 gallons of water a day and supplying thousands
with clean water. When the need for disaster relief ends, the purification systems are permanently
positioned in villages lacking potable water. A gift of $7,500 will purchase one system.
