Operation Blessing International China Migrant Schools
In China, extreme poverty is defined as earning less than $90 USD per year. Yet it can cost as much as $50 to send a child to school for one year. In many migrant worker families, children are forced to quit school because their parents can't afford the costs and because their labor skills are needed to bring in extra money. Last year, Operation Blessing China helped provide educational and nutritional assistance to impoverished students at 47 schools in 7 provinces. A gift of just $50 can help send a child to school.
