| Teams traveled by boat to bring relief to flooded communities that had not yet received aid. |
PANGASINAN, Philippines - For the first time since Typhoon Pepeng hit, families living in flooded barangays or communities of the Philippines are finally getting some much-needed relief.
Navigating flooded streets in a bright red, rubber boat, Operation Blessing teams traveled to three of the hardest-hit communities to bring medical relief, emergency aid and trauma counseling to families.
For Josielyn, a resident of Barangay Malabago and mother of 8, the relief was an answer to her prayers.
“The water almost reached up to the second level of our house. We thought we would never survive,” she said.
“Operation Blessing has been a great help to us here. It is very rare that people would come here and give help without asking anything in return. I thank God so much for answering our prayers,” she added.
