MONTEREY, Va. – Following a weekend of severe storms, Operation Blessing deployed a refrigerated truck to help support shelters aiding displaced residents.
The storm created widespread power outages leaving residents battling high heat and shelters needing a solution to help store food to support displaced residents. At the request of Virginia state emergency operations staff, OBI deployed a refrigerated truck to northern Virginia to help provide emergency food storage as power returns to the affected areas.
Teams will continue to monitor conditions and assess additional relief responses as needed.
