OBI and Humedica are working together to bring medical and relief aid to Syrian refugees in the Bekaa valley.

BEKAA, Lebanon – Operation Blessing and our German partner, Humedica, are working together to bring critical health care to Syrian refugees along the Syria-Lebanon border. To date, nearly 50,000 Syrian refugees have taken shelter in Lebanon.

The Bekaa valley, less than ten miles from the Syrian border, is home to several refugee camps where displaced Syrians are seeking safe shelter as civil war continues to plague their country. With help from OBI, Humedica’s medical teams are assisting refugees through a mobile medical unit—treating an average of 90 patients every day.

Teams are also working with the local church community to provide families in need with much-needed relief supplies.
