Quake damage in San Marcos, Guatemala.

SAN MARCOS, Guatemala – Yesterday, a 7.4-magnitude quake struck off the Pacific coast of Guatemala, killing at least 39 people and destroying scores of homes.

In the hard-hit province of San Marcos, Operation Blessing teams are working to bring medicine, food, clothing and other emergency relief to victims. According to government reports, an estimated 17,000 people have been affected by the quake.
