Operation Blessing delivers hundreds of pounds of food to Joseph's Storehouse for distribution each month.

LEBANON, Tenn. – During the past 3 years, Rachel’s life has been marked by a series of hardships.

Her husband, who owns a landscaping business, was hit by a drunk driver, rupturing a disk in his back; her father passed away; and Rachel became unexpectedly unemployed.

“It only takes a minute for your life to be turned upside down,” she said.

Rachel has four children to feed, clothe, and care for. Her husband tries to work, but most of his business has been lost because of his back problems. On top of everything, Rachel’s mom recently had to have surgery and Rachel has been caring for her as she recovers.

So when Rachel needed a hand to help her through, she came to Joseph’s Storehouse, an OBI-supported food outreach. Every month, Rachel receives groceries and supplies to bring home to her family—helping her put food on the table.

Families in need throughout the Lebanon area come to the Joseph's Storehouse food distribution, taking home grocery items and hygiene products.

“I’m just glad there’s some place you can go to get help,” she said. “Many people around here would go hungry if it wasn’t for this ministry.”

Renee, a single mom of two, recently came to Joseph’s Storehouse for the first time. Like Rachel, she also is out of work and having a hard time making ends meet with what little resources she has.

She arrived at 5 a.m. and waited in her car—fearing that they might run out of food if she didn’t arrive early enough.

“If it weren’t for Operation Blessing, I don’t know how I would make it,” she said as she received groceries to bring home to her family. “Thank God for bringing me here!”

Operation Blessing’s Hunger Strike Force supports Joseph’s Storehouse with distributions of food and supplies each month. And this is only one of OBI’s 5,200 partnering ministries across the U.S. that receives truckloads of food and product from Operation Blessing.
