INDIANA – Blessed with identical twin girls early in their marriage, Brian and Christy thought one more baby would complete their family.

To their surprise, they discovered that Christy was pregnant with not one, but three more children. By the time their girls were three years old, they had become the proud parents of triplet boys.

But with five little children to feed and countless diapers to change, Brian struggled to make ends meet, even with working two jobs.

“It is just astronomical to go to the grocery store,” Christy said.

Then they heard about an Operation Blessing-supported food pantry, Bread of Life, where Brian and Christy were given much needed food and necessities like diapers.

“With the help of Operation Blessing through diaper and food donations, it has just been a lot of help,” Christy said. “Thank you for everything that you do; it means the world to us.”

Brian and Christy aren’t the only family struggling to make ends meet in the current economy. In fact, more than 43 million people in America are in poverty—which means millions of homes don’t have enough food to eat.

To help hungry families in America, Operation Blessing’s Hunger Strike Force delivers an average of 2 million pounds of food and product each week to a network of food banks across the country.

Bread of Life alone receives 80,000 pounds of product a month to help reach the hurting in Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky.

Bill Carlisle, executive director of Bread of Life, is grateful for the partnership. “I just want to say thank you to Operation Blessing because without your organization we would not be able to help as many people as we do,” he said.
