Operation Blessing - Partnering with Mercury One

Operation Blessing’s Hunger Strike Force trucks deliver more than 2 million pounds of free food and supplies every week.

TEXAS – Operation Blessing is proud to be teaming up with Glenn Beck’s organization Mercury One to help feed hungry families across America.

As part of Mercury One’s “Restoring Love Through Service” food drive in July, OBI will be loading food supplies into 11 Hunger Strike Force tractor trailers in Dallas, Texas, then delivering the items to 11 cities across the nation—helping feed hungry families.

The 11 cities include Detroit, Mich.; Navajo Reservation, N.M.; New Orleans, La.; Las Vegas, Nev.; San Joaquin Valley County, Calif.; New York, N.Y.; Orlando, Fla.; Philadelphia, Pa.; Dallas, Texas; Houston, Texas; and Wilmington, Ohio.

Operation Blessing International anticipates that within the next several years nearly 30 million pounds of food and relief aid will travel through this new facility, which will impact more than 1 million people each month.

This event follows the opening of Operation Blessing’s new distribution center for donated food and relief supplies in Grand Prairie, Texas. This distribution center is in addition to OBI’s centers in Chesapeake, Va.; Ocala, Fla.; and Bristol, Va.

OBI’s domestic hunger relief program currently delivers more than 2 million pounds of free food and supplies each week to a network of more than 120 community-based partners in dozens of cities across the nation, benefitting more than 4,000 local food pantries.
