"NGO Of The Year" Peace Award -- 2006
Operation Blessing Philippines was awarded the 2006 Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) of the Year Award by the 8th Infantry Division of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. The award was in recognition of OBI’s humanitarian efforts in areas such as health care, feeding programs, education and disaster relief. Throughout 2006, OBI Philippines conducted large-scale humanitarian outreaches across Samar, providing health care to residents, emergency aid to disaster victims, livelihood assistance to families and feeding and education to children.
"NGO Of The Year" Peace Award -- 2003
On December 19, Pres. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and Armed Forces of the Philippines
(AFP) Chief of Staff Gen. Narciso Abaya presented the AFP “NGO of the
Year for Peace Efforts” award to Operation Blessing Philippines. The award commended OB for bravery in launching medical,
disaster relief and community development missions that promoted peace, healing,
unity and restoration in communities scarred by armed rebellion and terrorism.
The citation was personally handed over by President Arroyo to OB Chief Operating
Officer Dr. Kim Pascual during the 68th anniversary celebration rites of the
AFP held at Camp Aguinaldo.
"NGO Of The Year" Peace Award -- 2002
On Dec. 21, 2002, the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) presented Operation
Blessing with the "NGO of the Year for Peace Efforts" award for 2002. The plaque
was presented by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and AFP Chief of Staff Dionisio
Santiago to OB Chief Operating Officer Dr. Kim Pascual during the 67th year
AFP Day anniversary rites held in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City. The award specifically
cited 12 humanitarian missions conducted by OB Philippines that served 66,049
people in 47 far-flung communities throughout the Philippines.
British Airways 2002 Charity of Choice
British Airways chose Operation Blessing to be its Charity of Choice for 2002.
2001 Charity of Choice
Christmas.com chose Operation Blessing as its Charity of Choice during the 2001
holiday season.
2000 Millennium Green Award
The White House Millennium Council designated Operation Blessing as a Millennium
Green Project, in recognition of efforts to bring the community together.
A Thousand Points of Light Award
Former United States President George Bush presented this on May 21, 1996.
Congressional Humanitarian Award
Operation Blessing was one of many organizations that received the Declaration
of Gratitude for outstanding service in dire circumstances from Congressional

President Corazon Aquino of the Philippines presented this to OBI in recognition
of humanitarian aid to the Philippines.
Operation Blessing Day
Governor Bill Clinton of Arkansas proclaimed November 14, 1988 as "Operation
Blessing Day" in recognition of OBI hunger relief efforts in Arkansas and around
the world.
Operation Blessing Week
Mayor Marion Barry, Jr. of the District of Columbia declared November 14-18
"Operation Blessing Week" in 1988.
Operation Blessing Week
Mayor W. Wilson of Philadelphia, PA declared May 11-15 "Operation Blessing"
week in 1987.
Outstanding Service Award
The Dallas Urban League awarded this for service to the Seniors In Community
Services Project in 1984.
Spirit of Voluntarism
In 1982, cited by President Ronald Reagan for exemplifying the spirit of voluntarism
needed in the U.S.
The Omega Fellowship
Received this from Food For The Hungry in 1994 for our participation toward
ending physical and spiritual hunger one life at a time.

2000 and 2001 respectively.
