After the quake, St. Damien—Haiti’s premier pediatric hospital—became overwhelmed with both children and adults needing emergency care. To help meet the growing need, Operation Blessing is helping St. Damien’s founder build a new emergency care and surgical center as part of the first phase of St. Luke Family Hospital. In response to the cholera crisis, OBI also partnered with St. Luke to provide the initial funds to help set up a cholera treatment center and also supply them with bleach solution manufactured at OBI’s Haiti headquarters to help de-contaminate beds and other areas.
