Steve O’Grady

Vice President, Operations & Logistics

Since joining Operation Blessing International’s team in January 1995, Steve O’Grady has been responsible for OBI’s domestic warehousing, transportation and food distribution. Under Steve’s direction, OBI has been able to mature its food distribution networks’ capabilities and capacities which have now grown to over 100 million pounds annually.

As part of this growth process, Steve has been instrumental in the expansion of OBI distribution centers in Chesapeake, Va., Ocala, Fla., and Grand Prairie, TX, which collectively amass over 200,000 square feet of storage capacity. Additionally, he has grown OBI’s transportation fleet to 18 tractors and 75 trailers that not only supports domestic feeding programs, but is also an intricate facet of OBI’s ability to aggressively respond to natural and man-made domestic disasters.

In the fall of 2005, Steve took on the added responsibilities of international sea and air shipments in support of OBI’s international disaster relief and development programs. In the summer of 2007 he also added Domestic Outreach responsibilities to his résumé; which include life transformational, educational and long-term development programs.

Steve earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Radford University in 1981, and he has gained extensive managerial and marketing experience working for the Exxon Corporation from 1981 through 1991, and American Sales Corporation from 1992 through 1994.

While his personal education and experience are an important aspect of the success OBI has enjoyed during his employment, Steve credits most of his success opportunities and abilities to the excellent staff he serves. “The awesome responsibility that God has placed on me to lead this overachieving group of individuals is phenomenal. It is an honor and a privilege for me to serve in this capacity.”

Steve was raised in Queens, N.Y. and Washington D.C., and currently resides in Virginia Beach, Va.
