"One In Five Children Live Below The Poverty Line" *CDF USA stat.

It is hard to imagine that children in America suffer from malnutrition,
hunger, disease, poor living conditions, and illiteracy but it is
true. America is a land richly blessed and yet opportunity does not
smile equally on everyone. Children that suffer in poverty find themselves
uniquely challenged to discover a way out, often they struggle without
strong family support system that most Americans can count on. They
cannot simply pick up and move out of areas where gang violence, drug
and alcohol abuse, prostitution, and malnutrition run rampant. There
is little to no opportunity for good education, well-paying jobs,
excellent health care, and exposure to the arts.
Poverty is also destroying the lives of children in other countries.
Food and clothing are basic to everyone’s existence, yet millions
go without. To them the basics of life are luxuries; education and
good health are fleeting dreams. These are children who do not know
how to dream because their focus is on surviving today.
Without help these children are destined to a life of hardship.
This is why Operation Blessing is providing at-risk children with
critical building blocks that give them the opportunity and tools
needed to dream and succeed in life. Join us in changing their world
for the better.
