For the last few days overflowing raging rivers and mudslides have invaded the southern states of Kentucky, Tennessee and Virginia. Record rainfalls were recorded in Memphis. As terrified residents watched muddy waters destroy homes and household items, families wondered what they would do and how they will live.
Operation Blessing is there to help see them through this tough time. An OBI Hunger Strike Force truck loaded with needed supplies left late Tuesday evening for Bristol, Virginia. Its driver Herb Hicks arrived Wednesday morning with 30,000 pounds of blankets, bleach and drinking water. Within hours, victims in both Virginia and Tennessee will begin cleaning their damaged homes with bleach. Bottled water will quench their parched lips. At night, warm blankets will provide families temporary comfort from the elements.
At least seven children and adults have lost their lives. Hundreds of homes are destroyed. As rebuilding begins, these fellow Americans will need assistance. With your help Operation Blessing can be there to show that somebody cares and will stand with them. Your help is needed today!
