Hurricane Jeanne ripped through the middle of Florida and has
moved on into Georgia, killing at least six people. Almost 2 million Floridians
are without power with many more residents in effected areas are expected
to lose much more than electricity.
Hurricane Ivan, Frances and Charley survivors that live in places
like Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina, Cuba, Grenada, Jamaica, the Bahamas
and the Cayman Islands have already been left without basic food, water
and shelter. Countless families have lost everything.
In partnership with organizations including The Salvation Army, Catholic Charities, Florida Baptist Convention, United Methodists
and Assembly of God, we have been able to deliver 5.4 million
pounds of food and relief supplies to hurricane survivors.
