and recovery activities throughout the region.
Since the
massive earthquake and tsunami of December 2004, volunteers
and staff have utilized air, water and land to transport
emergency relief provisions and supplies to survivors
in Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Thailand and India.
OBI has supplied devastated areas with more than $27 million in medicine; purchased fogging machines for mosquito control and malaria prevention; constructed new medical clinics; helped build hundreds of new homes throughout Aceh's west coast provinces; provided medical treatment to more than 180,000 people; and created microenterprise opportunities such as brick factories and boat building projects.
Relief and recovery efforts to date have benefited more than 850,000 survivors.
Operation Blessing is at work every day helping victims and
communities recover from one of the greatest natural disasters
of modern times. Please continue to support OBI's ongoing efforts by making an online donation today.
