Impact Trips: Experience Operation Blessing In The Field! Impact Trips are 8 day trips that are designed to give our volunteers a true taste of what Operation Blessing does around the world to alleviate human suffering through hunger relief, disaster relief and more! By devoting 8 days of your life through service, your eyes will be opened to the suffering people are going through right here at home and abroad but the best part is you will have the opportunity to be part of the life-changing hope Operation Blessing brings to these residents and communities. The cost of the trip includes all of your accommodations, such as housing, food, travel while there, and more. Operation Blessing has really opened my eyes to what's out here...I knew there were homeless around, but I never really paid any attention...this experience really opened my eyes to how much hurt ther is in the world and in America itself.

It is easy to give when you can immediately see the reward. It is also easy to give when you get a thank you and feel appreciated. The true test of the heart, though, is whether or not you will give when there is no reward, when there is no appreciation, when there is no smile. Will you give when you are sworn at, threatened and looked down upon?

This morning was one of those moments when my heart was tested. We worked with a place called the Fred Jordan Mission. Their focus is people on “Skid Row.” This is a place of drug sales, homelessness and prostitution...
