Brazil is the largest and most populous country in South America. Like it's surrounding
neighbors, the economic differences between the "haves" and "have not's"
is one of the country's biggest problems. Widows and other single mothers can not afford
basic medical care for their children or themselves. Sometimes parents are so desperate
they are willing to give up or "sell" one of their children so the rest of
the family can survive.
Operation Blessing sponsored programs are helping Brazilian families by:
- Tending The Sick -- Short term medical
missions are helping sick and hurting people that live in poor areas throughout Brazil.
- Equipping for Life -- Operation Blessing also assists individuals,
families and communities in overcoming forces that keep them in the vicious cycle
of poverty.
Education: Qualified teachers will teach students of all ages how to read and write,
giving them freedom to succeed in ways they had not known before.
Join us in breaking the cycle of suffering around the world. Please give

A sweet little girl with curly pigtails sat on her mother’s hip as she peered
at everyone in the waiting room. Vitoria was used to going to the doctor’s office
and being poked and prodded. Hopefully this time would be different. Her mother Rosi
was optimistic that OB Brazil’s team of doctors would be able to give them an
encouraging prognosis. Vitoria’s five surgeries had drained the family’s
finances, leaving them to worry about their daughter’s future.
