Blessing Hurricane Laura Victims in Louisiana

Field Report by Operation Blessing

LAKE CHARLES, La. – Hurricane Laura victims in Louisiana desperately need help. Laura swept through Louisiana as a category 4 storm, leaving catastrophic damage in her wake. Operation Blessing’s Disaster Relief team is on the ground, assessing the situation. OB staff heard about a senior citizen community where a handful of Hurricane Laura victims were still living. Only one caretaker returned to care for the residents. The home is without power, and the victims were in desperate need of food, water, and flashlights. But your faithfulness provided critical disaster relief supplies for these victims.

Thanks to your generosity, Operation Blessing staff delivered food, water, and flashlights to the victims. The patients were overjoyed as they received fresh bottled water and nonperishable food items. The flashlights they received will help them see in their dark rooms as they wait for the power to return. These critical supplies will help victims survive until more help can come.
