A Call To Prayer For Texas

Join Gordon Robertson as he prays for the people of Texas.

The Governor of Texas and the President of the United States have asked the nation to pray for Texas on Sunday, September 3, 2018. Let us respond wholeheartedly and join in prayer for those in need in the aftermath of this terrible storm.

Psalm 46:1-5
God is our refuge and strength,
A very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear,
Even though the earth be removed,
And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
Though its waters roar and be troubled,
though the mountains shake with its swelling.
There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God,
The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High.
God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved;
God shall help her, just at the break of dawn.

    Thank you! Brought tears to my eyes. I live in Houston and so honored to have mankind work together in peace and harmony. God is strong and by His Grace, Texas will come out stronger. For God is rebuilding and restoring to all who has been through the storm.

    We join with you in prayer for Texas. What a disaster. I ask you to prayer as a united body within our country for the state of Montana. Fires are burning in all parts of our great state. We have lost a historic mountain chalet in beautiful Glacier National Park. We have lost two fire fighters; Our air is filled with heavy unhealthy smoke. Thousands of acres of beautiful forests are blackened; homes are burned and there is no end in sight. Some fires began the end of July. We have had high temperatures, humidity under twenty percent and no rain. In over two months. When over, Texas will still have trees, grass, and plant life. When our fires end after snowfall in late October, we shall have nothing but black toothpick trees and a black landscape. It takes years to grow a forest. Animals suffer, too, with loss of habitat. No,I am ot exaggerating. This is serious and very real. We are asking for Divine help. Thank you and God bless you as you remember our great state of Montana in prayer.

      I listened to the 700 Club broadcast today (9-5-2017). Not one word in response to my previously made desperate plea for prayer for my beautiful state of Montana. Conditions are worse than when I first submitted that e-mail and phone call. Our valley is so smokey we cannot remain outdoors. Existing fires have spread, considerably increasing in size. New fires have ignited and major highways have been closed. More than half of our state is burning, homes have been evacuated, people are losing everything they have. We are in a state of emergency. Is it possible to have a plea for prayer included in your broadcast? Unless people are informed of our desperate conditions, they will not know to pray. Regrowth of forests takes many years. Some trees are over a hundred years old. Flaming forests in mountain terrain are as impressive as flooded landscapes. Both are tragic disasters. Texas has too much rain. We have had none for over two months. We would welcome some of theirs! Please, please, please pray for our great state. Thank you for all you do. I am proud to be a 700 Club member. Hi Clara,
        I read your plea for prayer. I, too, have lived through a fire that consumed all we had and 26,000 acres around me. I immediately went to God just now and asked Him to send clouds filled with rain over these fires. Though no one else may have heard your cry, He did. And if it’s just you & me, He said” That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.” So I’m in here with you in prayer, trusting He heard & will certainly answer. May God bless & protect you.
