New Business Emerges From COVID-19 Crisis

Field Report by Operation Blessing

Francisca is a single mother and grandmother caring for her daughter and grandson amidst COVID-19 in Mexico. She worked as a seamstress for most of her life, proudly selling her dresses, tablecloths, and scarves. But when COVID-19 hit Mexico, the shop where she sold most of her pieces closed down. Without any business, Francisca was no longer able to provide for her family, another tragedy of COVID-19 in Mexico.

But, thanks to your generous heart, Operation Blessing was able to meet Francisca with an innovative solution. Utilizing her sewing skills, Francisca was commissioned and given the materials to craft 15,000 face masks. Francisca will receive pay for her work and Operation Blessing will donate the masks and food packs to families in need all over Mexico. Your love works endlessly to empower women like Francisca in the COVID-19 crisis, as she works to protect her community.
