New Resources For the Blind Community of Israel

Field Report by Operation Blessing

JERUSALEM, ISRAEL – The Arab Blind Association serves the blind community of Israel. It is one of the oldest organizations in all of Jerusalem, dating back to 1932. This organization exists as a vocational workshop to teach the blind marketable skills for the workplace. Yet the front entrance of their workshop was not attracting enough buyers on the street to keep the association thriving. However, thanks to generous partners like you, Operation Blessing was able to provide for many of their needs. The front entrance was renovated, raw materials were provided for broom making, and a room full of new computers was given in order to teach the blind how to type, write emails, and more. Additionally, the beneficiaries at the Arab Blind Association were given watches that speak the time aloud.
