Local Zimbabwe Pastor Reflects on Cyclone Idai

Leopold is a local church pastor in Chimanimani, Zimbabwe. The church building where he leads is still standing after Cyclone Idai swept through the area in March, but everything inside was destroyed, including a brand new speaker system. However, Pastor Leopold was one of the lucky ones. Many homes were swept away. Fourteen out of his 500 congregants lost their lives. Those who survived are working to rebuild. Thanks to our generous partners, Operation Blessing is able to work alongside these disaster victims and provide them with clean water after Cyclone Idai’s flood waters contaminated their water sources.
