Peter Kimaru is the national director of Operation Blessing International in Kenya. He became part of the OBI family in September 2016.
Peter oversees multiple OBI projects, such as safe water, hunger relief, health programs, and early childhood development, which have helped many people in rural areas. Many projects assist impoverished families in Loitokitok, located at the foothills of Mt. Kilimanjaro which is densely populated by the Maasai community.
Peter has more than 15 years of experience in supply chain management, warehousing, and freight forwarding. Previously, Peter worked as the head of airfreight in Kenya for one of the largest logistics companies in the world and joined OBI with extensive experience in leadership and a passion to alleviate human suffering.
Peter lives in Nairobi with his wife, Mercy, and their three delightful children Faith, Mark, and Jordan.
