JAMAICA – The devastation in Jamaica is overwhelming. Families in Montego Bay and the surrounding mountain communities have lost everything—their homes, food, clean water, power, and hope. But thanks to compassionate friends like you, Operation Blessing is already on the ground delivering help where it’s needed most after Hurricane Melissa.
Right now, our teams are cooking hot, traditional Jamaican meals, distributing safe drinking water, providing urgent medical care, and working side-by-side with local churches to reach the most vulnerable. During this time of great sorrow, your generosity is offering more than just supplies—it’s offering comfort and connection.
In a heartfelt update from the field, Diego from Operation Blessing shares, “The need is so big. People don’t have power, don’t have water, don’t have food… They lost everything.”
In the midst of the crisis, local volunteer Marcia held onto faith, saying “This too shall pass. We’re a resilient people, and we will get up. Just hold on.”
The need is still growing. Many families have yet to receive any assistance. You can be the reason that changes. Operation Blessing is committed to staying in Jamaica for as long as it takes—but we can’t do it without your support.
Together, we can remind the people of Jamaica that they are not alone after Hurricane Melissa. Marcia said, “If someone like you and me were not around, how will they survive?”
And Diego summed it up, “They need somebody to just come around and reassure them that somebody cares.”
Your love in action is a blessing to those in crisis. Thank you for standing with Jamaica in this desperate hour. You can give now to help disaster victims.
