Scriptures about Volunteering

If the Bible tells us anything, it’s that God is generous and loves to serve. We see that in Jesus who said He came not to be served, but to serve—even though He is the King of the world! And all of us are made in His image.

So every one of us was created to selflessly serve others with the talents, time, and other resources that God has entrusted to us. And volunteering gives us the chance to represent a God who voluntarily chooses to pour out blessing on all who are in need.

“It’s what we’re called to do ever since we gave our lives to Christ… We know that when people are in need, Christ calls us to help.”

– Randy, OB volunteer
